* Neil Seldman is co-founder and president of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance. He is an expert in recycling and economic development having helped start and expand numerous recycling enterprises, including plastic manufacturing, composting, building deconstruction, electronic scrap hand dismantling, mattress and carpet recycling. He has focused a good deal of work in the US Southeast including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Currently, Seldman is advisor to Alachua County, FL, Austin, TX, Bridgeport, CT, Los Angeles, Grand Forks, ND, and Washington, DC. Prior to co-founding ILSR Seldman was a manufacturer and university lecturer.
Seldman is participating with Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League in a series of public awareness meetings scheduled for Laurinburg, NC, Chester County, SC, Elberton County, GA, Gadsden County, FL, N. Charleston, SC.
