SCOT is a grassroots organization formed to highlight the potential for desirable growth in Scotland County, and to emphasize that true economic opportunity would be undermined by short sighted short term financial gain and long term costs of a mega-dump.

We are a chapter of the Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League.
Our sister organization in Richmond County is Save Our Abundant Resources. SCOT and SOAR work closely together to protect both counties from a mega-landfill.
